Uprising Theater presents:

The Olive Tree

Attend a staged reading of The Olive Tree, a true story of a Jewish American woman's journey that takes her from a Birthright trip to Israel to living in a Palestinian refugee camp.

The performance is followed by a Q&A with Professor Iymen Chehade.

Join us on Sunday, January 14th, for a Teach-in and Movement Workshop with Professor Chehade.

About the Artists

Iymen Chehade (he/him) is a lecturer on the Palestinian-Israeli Crisis at Columbia College and the School of the Art Institute. He is active in the areas of public policy and human rights and is the founder of Uprising, a social justice theater dedicated to telling the stories of marginalized communities.

Maren Rosenberg (she/her) is a Chicago-based performer, immersive experience designer, creative mercenary, and Co Artistic Director of Uprising Theater. www.marenrosenberg.com

Tina El Gamal (she/they) is a Chicago-based actor, director, theatre artist, and organizer. They were featured on New City Mag's Players 50, 2022. She is represented by Big Mouth Talent.
