Nasty Brutish & Short is an evening of contemporary short-form puppet and object based theater for adult audiences. The cabaret is a low risk environment for artists to perform new and experimental work and foster artistic exchange between puppet artists of different generations and mediums.

AIRMW presents: Yoshinojo Fujima’s Spiral Inwards/Outwards
Spiral Inwards/Spiral Outwards is a dynamic exploration of movement and music, evoking imagery of a pendulum that symbolizes the inhale and exhale of life's rhythm. As it spirals outward with each breath, there is a dynamic release of energy, while the inward spiral reflects a calming flow, reminiscent of the natural ebb and flow of existence.

The Invitation Situation exposes both the precision and precarity of the performer’s decision-making from moment to moment, somewhere between personal agency and collective will – grappling with time, place, and makeshift meanings.

The Swan turns to Ralph Ellison’s description of a green Oklahoma river snake. Essi Kausalainen’s signature textile designs provide settings and costumes as extraordinary body-habitats.
