Stirred: Chicago Verge Dance Theatre
Chicago Verge Dance Theatre (CVDT) was founded in 2010 by Hilary Barry and Tyne Shillingford in Chicago, Illinois. A small contemporary dance company of nine women, CVDT explores how the intricacies of everyday life manifest themselves in the body through movement. Known for their thoughtful and passionate artistry, Barry and Shillingford have both received critical acclaim for their choreography throughout their tenure. CVDT is eager to present its third concert, Stirred, on October 24 & 25 at Links Hall.
Stirred is an evening of dance presented in two acts. The concert will feature new choreography from guest artists Cheryl Cavey, Marnice Lewis, Molly Mattei, Rachel Nadler, and Molly Padden. In addition, Barry and Shillingford will present a full length work exploring the different lives we lead throughout our time on Earth and how challenging changing courses midway can be.
