An exciting program of dances including three short works by Germond, and Rossen’s solo project Make Me A Jewish Dance. Germond will premiere a fast and furious quintet set to a harpsichord concerto by H. Gorecki, her gender bending Double Elvis, and her 1999 duet Rejoinder. Rossen’s solo is a 30-minute tour-de-force created for her by performance artist Dan Froot and choreographer Victoria Marks.
“In (Germond’s) works, questions of freedom, control, sexuality and identity are played out…” Dierdre Kelly, The Globe and Mail.
“(Rossen) frees us to see what’s before our eyes and react to it spontaneously.” – Laura Molzahn, The Chicago Reader
