Links Hall Dance Classes are dedicated to nurturing
the unique creativity of your own dance expression -- through the
exploration and practice of contemporary dance methods with passionate,
intelligent, and informed artist-instructors.
CLASS POLICIES
Classes are usually open to all participants with at least beginning/intermediate
skills in body/mind awareness (such as those developed through dance,
yoga, martial arts, etc.) Please wear bare feet and comfortable
clothing, and arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class to sign in
and change. Refunds only in cases of illness or injury.
Please check the Links Hall bulletin board for independent
dance and movement

Body in Theatrical Space

sprung is an acclaimed movement theatre company that presents some
of the most beautiful, surprising, and intelligent creations in
Chicago. This workshop uses Jacques Lecoq’s teaching to help
participants engage their physical imagination and create charged

Morganville

workshop designed to generate original material through movement
and vocal exercises, exploring techniques for collaborative directing
with an emphasis on spontaneity and improvisation. Come dressed

Drag in Dance and Theatre

This physical acting workshop led by Jessica
Hudson and other members of the Chicago Kings uses gender stereotypes
and drag as a springboard for character development within dance
and theatre. This workshop is a synthesis of acting, movement, and
gender studies where participants physically explore the ways traditional
definitions of beauty may limit performers. This workshop is open
