Links Hall Dance Classes
are dedicated to nurturing the unique creativity of your own dance
expression -- through the exploration and practice of contemporary
dance methods with passionate, intelligent, and informed artist-instructors.
CLASS POLICIES
Classes are open to all participants with at least beginning/intermediate
skills in body/mind awareness (such as those developed through dance,
yoga, martial arts, etc.) Please wear bare feet and comfortable
clothing, and arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class to sign in
and change. Refunds only in cases of illness or injury.
CLASS PRICES/ REGISTRATION
Single class $12, 5 classes $50, 10 classes $85, 20 classes $150.

The
Innocents on Tour:
Boston-based dance artists

The Innocents' work is process-oriented, collaborative,
improvisational and committed. Their dance research incorporates
elements of Yoga, Feldenkrais, and the work of Deborah Hay. "...solid
technical facility, a postmodern sensibility, a fondness for minimalist
music and a strong sense of the theatrical...hypnotic" -- The

Jyothsna Sainath: Bharatanatyam
Saturday July 19, 2003, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Bharatanatyam combines 'Bh'ava (emotional expression),
'Ra'ga (Melody) and 'Ta'la (Rhythm) to create a fulfilling artistic
experience to both the performer and the connoisseur. Sainath has
been a student of renowned Gurus, Ms.Padmini Ramachandran, Ms. Radha
Sridhar and Ms. Narmada, and Guru Ms. Sundari Santhanam, a senior
student of the legendary Guru Dr. Padma Subramaniam. She combines
various influences to evolve a distinct style of her own, critically
acclaimed not only for the clarity and perfection of her movements,

Hand to Mouth:
Workshop with Amsterdam-based Choreographer Sara Wookey
July 28th-August 1st

Sara Wookey is an American artist based in the Netherlands
since 1996. "Hand to Mouth" is based on Wookey's research
on the link between speaking and moving in improvisational performance
practices. Through writing, editing, speaking, moving and dancing
participants will arrive at a place where words and action cannot
be dissected. Wookey has taught at the School for New Dance Development
in the Netherlands, the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance,
and Chisenhale Dance Space in London. www.sarawookey.com
